CUNY Summer STEM Research Symposium

CUNY Summer STEM Research Symposium was held today Thursday August 13, 2015 in the Great Hall of Shephard Hall, CCNY .

The symposium was kicked-off at 10:00AM with opening remarks by Dr. Reza Khanbilvardi, CREST Center Director. Dr.marlene Kaplan, Deputy Director, NOAA Office of Education gave a keynote address. 

Other Special Guest includes:

• Mablelene Burrell, Education Lead, Internships Fellowships and Scholarship, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC)
• Amanda Adams, Program Director, Education and Cross- Disciplinary Activities

The event included Poster and Oral Presentation by our summer interns (HS; UG; Graduate from many NOAA-CREST and other CUNY partners) and a panel Discussion on: "Degree to Workforce — how to build the right Career "

The symposium concluded with closing remarks and awards given out by Dr. Khanbilvardi
