Carbon dioxide levels rose at record pace for 2nd straight year

-Examine the formation and development of supraglacial lakes within the percolation zone of the Greenland ice sheet under the supervision of Dr. Ian M. Howat
-Provide insight to how results relate to the current knowledge of the percolation zone and lake behavior on ice sheets and suggest possible avenues of future research in the near and long term based on research findings
-Utilize a variety of remote sensing instruments, including: radar, lidar, visible imagery (Landsat and ASTER), meteorological outputs from a regional climate model, and a digital elevation model
-Create ancillary data as needed, such as flight lines, using open source code on MATLAB File Exchange
-Presented research at an important international research meeting in Ilulissat, Greenland and was the recipient of an early career travel grant from conference organizers and awarded large financial support from The Ohio State Office of Energy and Environment
-Promoted research at the largest geophysical meeting in the world, AGU 2015 and received large financial support to attend from The Ohio State SES Friends of Orton Hall fund
-Research featured in The Ohio State University Office of Energy and Environment website and in The Ohio State University SES alumni newsletter twice in 2015
-Invited seminar speaker at a small liberal arts college, Otterbein University
