Kibrewossen Tesfagiorgis received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Mekelle University, Ethiopia, and taught there for two years. He earned an M.S. in Water Resources Engineering from KU Leuven University/Free University of Brussels, Belgium and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from The Graduate Center, CUNY. He later worked as a Postdoctoral Scientist at NOAA-CREST (City College, CUNY). As an adjunct, he taught Statics and Strength of Materials (I and II) courses at City Tech (CUNY).
Kibre continues to work with NOAA-CREST faculty, scientists and students.
