Our primary goal is to educate and train a diverse cadre of students and early career scientists and engineers to become highly competent professionals in NOAA related STEM sciences.
NOAA-CREST achieves this through participation in state-of-the-art research in an internationally recognized CREST Center for remote sensing science and technologies, with the research closely integrated with NOAA to support and promote strategic goals in Climate Mitigation and Adaptation, Weather-Ready Nation, Healthy Oceans and Resilient Coastal Communities.
We have degree programs for undergraduate and graduate students.
Earth System Science & Environmental Engineering (ESE)
This is Bachelor of Engineering (BE) program in Earth System Science and Environmental Engineering (ESE).
The ESE program is accredited as an environmental engineering program by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.
Environment Earth System Science (EESS)
Environmental Earth System Science (EESS) is Bachelor of Science (BS) program that offers three tracks: (1) Environmental Chemistry (2) Hydrology and climate or (3) Ecosystems and Environmental Science.
Earth Systems and Environmental Science & Technology (ESEST)
The Master's Degree in Earth Systems and Environmental Science and Technology is an innovative graduate degree designed to allow students to pursue advanced training and excel in science.
Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences (APS) Degree Programs
The Department of Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences at Hampton University offers the M.S. and Ph.D. in Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences. A Minor in Space, Earth, and Atmospheric Sciences (SEAS Minor) is offered for undergraduates pursuing careers where knowledge in these areas can be an advantage.
